Two weeks later
Leon’s funeral hadn’t been a big thing. There weren’t many Heichous left, as it would seem, and they didn’t have a lot of family friends.
Levi wasn’t that concerned with attendance. His issue was over burial. He wanted his father in the same place as his mother, or else.
In the end, Lex and Leon Heichou would rest next to one another until the end of time. Or something sappy and cute like that.
He was in a better mood, your quirky little boyfriend. After officially saying goodbye to his last known family member, his normal, perfec

Middle of the night, two days later
You were woken from your troubled sleep by an irritable, bitchy older sister.
Lynn was shaking her shoulder, hissing under her breath, “Get up you son of a fuck, your pedophilic boyfriend is at the door.”
You groaned as a response. You could only assume that the poor, hurting, Levi was this pedophilic boyfriend of yours.
Then you realized it, he was hurting.
Why else would he come to you in the middle of the night?
Oh god. Oh god. No, no, no. Please…
It didn’t take

It had been a rough patch for Levi. Saying that, it had been a rough patch for you too.
Leon was in the hospital.
It wasn’t looking good.
Not at all.
The doctor said something about his immune system, but it all came down to old age.
It sucks that, sometimes, there’s just nothing but mortality to blame for the end of things.
What causes death? Life.
You’d been to see them three times already, and every time they both looked the same.

After a half-hour crying session
You were both on the couch again. He had his arms around you, holding you close, his chin resting on the top of your head. He had been silent while you cried. He didn’t want to make anything worse.
You kind of ran out of tears. It was like all the insults and dirty looks, and everything that Lynn gave you- which you brushed off and pretended like it didn’t bother you- came back with a vengeance.
I AM SO MAD-SAD THIS IS THE WORST DAY OF MY LIFE I HATE EVERYTHING.

Leon, Levi, Lex, Sawyer- My own rendition
Leon Heichou was seated in the living room of his little house. He was hunched over, a stupid smile across his face, his black eyes bright and happy.
“Smile! C’mon smile! Smile for daddy!” he said playfully, poking the chubby belly of the child lying on the ground before him.
Six month old Levi Heichou looked less than amused with his father. His expression was flat, and he didn’t move. He just stared up at Leon.
Leon gave his son a craft squint. “I know you can smile, kid- I’ve seen it before. You’re not as slick as you would think…”

Let’s all mutually agree this is a week later
You were pretty sure you’d forgotten what your house looked like. The past few days all you had gone there to do was sleep and bathe and then, in the morning, you’d be on Levi’s doorstep, yelling at him to let you in.
It had crossed your mind to ask him if you could spend the night. You could feel your face flush and you would get all girlishly giddy- like a twelve year old in love, you couldn’t control the smile on your face- when you thought about laying in his arms all night, falling asleep with him.
But, maybe you
